To customize Amateur Radio Repeater Directory you’ll need the password that I will send to you when you send in your shareware fee to register the directory. (Include your e-mail address for faster response.)
Amateur Radio Repeater Directory has been customized to fit on the PowerBook screen. That makes it ideal for talking along on trips and to the field day site.
The button items are self explanatory. To enter a new repeater, click the “Add Repeater” button. The “Delete” button removes a repeater entry. (It will ask for confirmation before it deletes the entry.) The “Find” button lets you select a repeater by entering search information into any field. The “Find All” button will select all records. The “Sort” button brings up a dialog that let your sort the records. It’s a good idea to press the “Find All” button before you sort. That way all records will be sorted, not just the found set.
Amateur Radio Repeater Directory also has a List view. The list view shows the repeater name, frequency, offset, QTH and memory location in a list format. This is convenient for looking at a number of repeaters at once. The About view gives information on the database.
Amateur Radio Repeater Directory is network aware. It (or, more correctly, FileMaker Pro) will allow you to run it over the network with multiple clients logged in. This means that several people can access the directory at one time. For example, your desktop Mac and your base rig can use it at the same as your mobile and radio connected PowerBook. (You do have a packet radio connection to your AppleTalk network don’t you?)
I have extensively tested Amateur Radio Repeater Directory. However, if you find any bugs, problems or weirdness, please let me know. I’ll try to fix whatever problem you find.
